  • Resected: procedure in which the primary cancer was excised, includes endoscopic polypectomy, TART, TEMS and segmental colonic/rectal resection.

  • Not operated: no surgical or endoscopic intervention.

  • Operated: all procedures with or without curative intent carried out under General Anaesthetic (GA), excludes endoscopic polypectomy and colonic stenting.

  • Definitive polypectomy: managed by endoscopic/surgical polypectomy, but no further surgical procedure performed.

  • CRC, colorectal cancer; MDT, multidisciplinary team; SD, screen detected; TART, transanal resection of tumour; TEMS, transanal endoscopic microsurgery.
