In praise of medical secretaries: Shortage of medical secretaries looks set to increase

    EDITOR–With reference to the personal view by Alis and Blair,1 medical secretaries are soon likely to be in even shorter supply.

    Under Agenda for Change (which is designed to pay nurses more) the pay band for a medical secretary, higher level, is band 4, which is currently £2000 less than their highest current pay scale.2
