Criteria Either: advanced cirrhosis with ≥1 complications in last year

  • Diuretic resistant ascites.

  • Hepatic encephalopathy.

  • Hepatorenal syndrome.

  • Bacterial peritonitis.

  • Recurrent variceal bleeds


or liver transplant contraindicated. 		Score of >2 from:

  • Child-Pugh Grade C.

  • Two liver-related admissions last 6 months.

  • Ongoing alcohol use (alcohol-related liver disease patients).

  • Unsuitable for transplant work-up.

  • WHO performance status 3–4.
