2020, Medicine (Spain)Associations of Microscopic Colitis With Other Lymphocytic Disorders of the Gastrointestinal Tract
2018, Clinical Gastroenterology and HepatologyCitation Excerpt :However, only a small 5.8% fraction of all patients with bidirectional endoscopy harbored any diagnosis of a lymphocytic disorder of the upper gastrointestinal tract. Most endoscopists contributing to the database appear to follow previously published recommendations to take at least 1 tissue sample from each of the organs visited during endoscopy, regardless of patient symptoms.23 Moreover, in all patients with microscopic colitis alike and irrespective of their comorbid condition, diarrhea constituted the chief complaint and primary reason for endoscopic work-up.
